In Memory of a Loving Father.
Holla at ya gurl, sike nah. Wassup yall! Yall know me. I'm an alumna of Montclair S. U. now! Been one since Aug 2nd 2007. I was a Geography major and concentrating in Environmental Studies. I'm an alumna of Arts High School and a resident of Newark, NJ. I love basketball and other sports. My favorite team is the WNBA's New York Liberty. I'm a nice down to earth person. I'm also a Michael Jackson Tribute Artist.
How lovely is this? The Greater Newark Conservancy of Newark, New Jersey has turned an empty lot on my street into a community garden. Today was the Greater Newark Conservancy's Plot It Fresh Community Orientation Day. After work I decided to attend. This program is to help preserve green space in Newark, promote healthy eating and community outreach. A representative named Lee was there helping my neighbors and my family get started. My sister, mom, boyfriend and I have decided to care for a plot to grow some vegetables. We all received free information about gardening and some starter plants. There are barrels that help catch the rain water and soon we will be getting a tool shed. This is only day 1, but I will be keeping you posted on our progress. Time to roll up my sleeves and throw some gloves on.
Below are some photos I want to share.
