Happy Birthday Mary Mary
I've been a fan of the Grammy Award winning contemporary gospel sister duo Mary Mary since I can remember. Their music is very uplifting and inspiring. There are times i wish they had more exposure because their music has catchy beats but powerful lyrics. I just love them!

The Royal Wedding: Winning London
I'm not from London but I know so many people and things I admire from there. It seems like such a great place to be and I wish I was there. Prince William or officially His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Louis, Duke of Cambridge, Early of Strathearn, Baron Carrickfergus, Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, Master of Arts has married, his love and sweetheart, Catherine Elizabeth Middleton. The ceremony was held at Westminster Abbey, London. I would have loved to have been there being that it was the first royal wedding since 1981 when Prince Charles married the late Lady Diana Spencer. I'm sure so many people in London and around the world were excited. I would like to extend my congratulations to them and wish them a long prosperous and blessed marriage. God Bless!

Flashback Movie: What A Girl Wants
This movie is one my favorite movies ever. With the Royal Wedding around the corner, the London scene puts me in mind of this movie. Every time it is on television I just have to watch it and of course I have the DVD. Amanda Bynes puts on her best performance to date. She has energy, style and charisma. Her energy just radiates.
The theme of the movie revolves around a young woman seeking her father in London after she finds out he doesn't know he had a daughter when her parents separated. Not only is he her father a British Lord and but he is also running to become a politician. When she shows up at his mansion she turns his (and half of London's) world upside down. This is definitely a movie that needs to be in your collection. I wish I could tell you more but like I always say "You have to see it for yourself."

Tribute to Left Eye
It is still hard to believe she is gone and that it has been nine years since her death. Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, from the hit group TLC, died in a car crash in Honduras as she was there on her voyage for self discovery and spiritual cleansing. She was only 30 years-old. The photo above is a tribute I created for her in 2002. Now that I have a blog I'm posting it here to share with you all. We love you Lisa!
Sorry but I am a day behind in my posts due to the holiday weekend.

Easter 2011
First I would like to mention that this will be my 100th post. I didn't realize I would get here this fast.
This Easter we kept it simple by spending some time at the park enjoying the 80 degree weather before the evening thunderstorm. My mom, my boyfriend Rich, his friend Derrick and I took the trip to Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. There was quite of few people there doing the same in their Easter outfits. The children we saw were so cute as well. We had such a great time taking photos and spending time together. My mom enjoyed herself with her children. Here are some shots of our day.

My Easter Sunday Prayer
"And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive." Luke 24:23, King James Version.
"Our Lord Jesus Christ lives! He was resurrected from his tomb and he lives! He lives in our hearts, he lives in our soul, and he is always by our sides. He walks with us, he talks to us, and he protects us by covering us with his blood. Today we will remember everything you have done for us. How you had sacrificed your life to save ours. We also like to thank our almighty God for sacrificing his only Son for us. We will continue to love you Lord and you will always keep us in your care. Amen." - Dominique Wilson

Good Friday and Earth Day
I think it was quite cool that both of these holidays fell on the same day. I still had to work today as well, but the day went smooth and kind of fast. Both of these holidays make up a huge portion of our lives one way or another.
Earth Day
I'm an environmental buff *hence what my major was in college* so I celebrate every Earth Day by wearing green of some sort. I love to promote environmental awareness. Our earth is definitely one thing we take for granted. I will continue to spread the message because everything starts with one. One day a few years back I stumbled upon an awesome shirt in JCPenney when I worked at the mall. I just had to have it. It made a statement "The Future is Green" and it also looked quite stylish. Plus everyone knows green is my signature color as well. I wore this shirt today at work and people gave me so many compliments. They also know I try to wear something that corresponds with holidays. When I got home my mom took some nice shots of me in my outfit. Pardon my tired look, it was after work but I wanted to take photos regardless.
What I Wore
Good Friday
I saved this part second because people remember the last thing first. Today is a holiday where we remember the sacrifice that Jesus Christ has done for us. It is about how he died on the cross for our sins. Today in Newark, NJ various churches came together to for the Stations of the Cross walk. It was led by Rev. Mamie Bridgeforth and various Newark and area churches. Even the councilman of the West Ward, Ronald C. Rice, attended. They sang hymns and there was a preacher who spoke. There was a young man dressed as Jesus and another one dresses as a Roman. They carried a large cross. It is a very major event that is held every year, this time I was able to capture some footage and photos. Wish they were better but I was outside of my job without my coat and it was cold.

Happy Birthday to the late Luther Vandross
The late great Luther Vandross would have been celebrating his 60th birthday yesterday. He has won eight Grammy Awards and sold as many as 20 million albums. He will always be a legend and one of the best R&B singer-songwriters ever. I would name some of his hits, but if you don't know any of them, you must have been under a rock.

35th Annual Bloomfest
The 35th annual cherry blossom festival, Bloomfest, was held in Branch Brook Park Newark, NJ. There were plenty of people that came to see one of the largest Cherry Blossom displays in the country. There were activities such as kiting, trampoline jumping, performances, and crafting. They displayed artwork, the Turtle Back Zoo Mobile unit had some animals on display, there were food venders and Branch Brook Park information stations. It was such a beautiful day and sites to see.

Tastefully Simple Food Tasting Party
My sister-in-law hosted a Tastefully Simple food tasting party Friday April 15th. It was geared towards women because the company feels that some women spend too much time preparing dinner for their families or themselves. It also has a healthy aspect that women love as well.
We tasted a variety of items from the catalog that was provided. Just to name a few of my favorites were the Blue Aztec Chips with the Tempting Taco Cheese Ball Mix, Hoppin' Jalapeno & Bacon Dip Mix, the Bountiful Beer Bread, and the Pomegranate Chipotle Sauce with the cubed bacon wrapped chicken.
